    World Pulses Day is a designated United Nations global event to recognise the importance of pulses (chickpeas, dry beans, lentils, dry peas and lupins among others) as a global food.
    Today we will learn about the value of pulses - why they are good for us and the environment, and ways we can cook them for healthy nutritious meals.
    There will be the opportunity to ask questions after the cooking presentation.

    Join us to hear Golo Pilz’s story. Golo is the Adviser to the Brahma Kumaris on Renewable Energies. He has led many solar power projects for the Brahma Kumaris, the largest being a 1 megawatt thermal power station which generates heat and power for 25,000 people at the Brahma Kumaris' Shantivan Campus in Abu Road, India and delivering off the grid electricity for a further 10,000 residents of Mt Abu. We will hear where his interest in the environment emerged from; how from being an apprentice builder in Germany, he became an expert on renewable energies, large solar power projects and an international speaker; and what his vision for our future world is.

    Eco Yogis - Conversations on Healing Nature from the Soul is a special series of interviews with some main members of the Brahma Kumaris Environment Initiative team. Each episode unfolds their journey and insights about nature, the environment and the power of meditation for healing the planet.
