Surrender or self-respect

In Lewis Carroll’s novel Sylvie and Bruno published in 1889, Sylvie’s father, the Fairy-King, showed her two lockets; on the blue one was written “all will love Sylvie” and on the red one was written “Sylvie will love all” (Chapter 6).

In the 1999 The Matrix film created by the Wachowski sisters, Morpheus showed Neo two pills; the blue one would wake Neo up in his bed and he will believe whatever he wants to believe, and the red one would allow Neo to stay in Wonderland and Morpheus will show him how deep the rabbit hole goes.

But why choose one or the other? Why not have both? And what is the method for having both?

Surrendering to a spiritual path of bliss, happiness and peace that only harmony can bring, takes the same amount of courage as it would to face opposition or a difficult challenge.

Because in spirituality there is only One understanding and One destination. Knowing and belonging to God, the Creator, the Father of all, is the only method for attaining bliss and retaining self-respect.

Belonging to Him means to surrender to your Creator and becoming His true child. Only He can remove all malware and reprogramme you, because He is the Remover of Sorrow and the Bestower of Happiness.

If you are sitting on the fence, finding it difficult to choose between surrender or self-respect, then remove the fence altogether.

Remember that there is only One destination, and we will go there all together.

The only way to be in control of your life, is not to try and control everything in your life. First become a true child by giving love; then you will become a master who receives love from all. The illusion is maintaining a balance between the two.

Persevere with the disciplines of this spiritual path and you will break free of the matrix; all delusions will end. The dream of heaven on earth (or Elfland, as Sylvie knew it) will then become a reality. Have your cake and share it. Then, you will get to taste it, soon.
